Standard BankFree Home Buying SeminarStandard Federal Bank will hold a free home buying seminar on how to select and finance a home. The seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance, 5807 McClellan, Detroit. An experienced lending officer will provide tips on the entire home buying process from how to set a housing budget, understanding credit reports, defining home and neighborhood checklist and the mortgage application process. Upon completion of the seminar, participants will receive certificates entitling them to apply for a mortgage loan under Standard Federal's Community Home Buyer's Program. The program is designed to make home ownership more affordable for people with low to moderate incomes and offers many benefits such as modified guidelines, smaller down payments and other less restrictive terms.
