Net Bank

Implementation of Enterprise-wide
Interactive Voice Response System

Partnership with Intervoice Will Help Ensure a Seamless Customer Experience

NetBank, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTBK), parent company of the country's first commercially successful Internet bank, NetBank(R) (www.netbank.com), today announced plans to implement an enterprise-wide interactive voice response (IVR) system to help ensure a uniform customer experience across all business channels. The company expects the implementation to be complete by year end.

"Our business model places a greater emphasis on technology to serve our customers," said Bill Williams, chief operations executive for NetBank, Inc. "Whether online or on the phone, our customers are sophisticated users of technology who want access 24/7 to perform many customer service functions on their own. This new system is highly intuitive and will be even easier for our customers to use. It fits with our strategy of using the best technology to allow our customers to do business with us when and how they would like."

Following recent acquisitions, the company had to integrate separate customer service functions across different lines of business, each with its own automated customer service applications. The new system will enable NetBank to provide customers with a seamless experience, as well as establish a common customer service protocol across its operating units.

"We have customers with multiple NetBank products that may require them to deal with different operating units within the company," said Virginia Johnston, executive vice president of customer care for NetBank. "For instance, our mortgage servicing operations are separate from our retail banking operations. But with this system, the customer will enjoy a consistent experience."

NetBank's IVR system is powered by the Omvia(TM) platform from Intervoice, Inc. This is the third major technology enhancement at NetBank this year. Earlier, the company announced it was implementing a new online banking platform as well as an enterprise-wide electronic document management system.
